The flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has once again asked Government to take steps to ensure that the cost of internet and voice services should be kept as low as possible. He made call in a post on his facebook page.

In these times, when coronavirus is forcing all of us to keep a distance from our friends and families, the internet is vital in helping us stay in contact with one another.
This is why the cost of internet and voice services should be kept as low as possible, so that as many of us can continue to stay in touch with each other.
I ask government, yet again, to assure the telecommunication companies of a free 6 (six) months extension of licenses – some of which are to expire very soon. In this way, the companies will be able to cushion consumers during this 3-month period.
We’re all in this together, so let’s bring love to one another. Allow the digital world to bring us all together!
