A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) aspirant Bright Yelviel-Dong Baligi has been fingered in a double salary saga involving the Food and Buffer Stock Company and the University for Development Studies (UDS), has filed.

He has since been directed to repay the undeserving amount he took for years as a government staff of either of the two entities or face the consequences thereof.

Some concerned New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in the Lambussie Constituency of the Upper West Region had earlier petitioned the party over concerns that Bright Yelviel-Dong Baligi had drawn double salaries – from the University of Development Studies (UDS) and from the National Food Buffer Stock Company.

The petitioner’s provided further and better particulars to buttress their point that his candidature could derail the NPP’s chances in the constituency in view of the double salary saga hanging around his neck

According to the petitioners, Mr Bright Yelviel-Dong Baligi, who recently beat three other aspirants to be the NPP’s candidate in the constituency, continued to received his full salary as a member of staff of the University of Development Studies (UDS) and also as a worker with the National Food Buffer Stock Company as a memo from the registrar of the University to the Finance Controller confirms.
